Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Vigile AI Security ("Vigile", "we", "us") provides automated security scanning, trust scoring, and runtime monitoring tools for MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and AI agent skills. Our services include the Vigile CLI scanner, the Vigile Trust Registry, the Vigile MCP server, the Vigile web dashboard, and the Sentinel runtime monitoring system.

2. Informational Purpose Only

All trust scores, scan results, security assessments, and monitoring reports provided by Vigile are informational tools only and do not constitute security guarantees, warranties, or professional security advice. Trust scores are generated through automated analysis and heuristic-based pattern detection. They reflect observable indicators at the time of analysis and may not capture all security risks, vulnerabilities, or malicious behaviors.

You are solely responsible for your own security decisions. Vigile should be used as one component of a comprehensive security strategy, not as a standalone determination of safety.

3. Beta Features

Certain features, including but not limited to Sentinel runtime monitoring, are designated as "Beta." Beta features are provided on an as-is, as-available basis and are under active development. Beta features may contain errors, produce false positives or false negatives, experience downtime, or behave unexpectedly. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of Beta features.

By using Beta features, you acknowledge and accept these additional risks. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Beta features at any time without notice.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VIGILE AI SECURITY, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, SECURITY BREACHES, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON TRUST SCORES OR SCAN RESULTS, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY.

A trust score of "Trusted" or a clean scan result does not guarantee that an MCP server or agent skill is free from vulnerabilities, malicious code, or harmful behavior. Vigile's total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Vigile in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

5. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Vigile only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service to scan, probe, or analyze systems you do not own or have explicit permission to test. Automated abuse, excessive request volumes intended to degrade service, reverse-engineering of detection patterns, or circumvention of rate limits are prohibited.

7. API and Rate Limits

Access to the Vigile API is subject to rate limits and monthly quotas based on your subscription tier. Free-tier users receive limited access. We reserve the right to modify rate limits, quotas, and feature availability at any time. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary or permanent restriction of access.

8. Data Collection

When you scan an MCP server or skill, Vigile processes the content you submit for analysis. Scan results may be stored to improve the trust registry and detection capabilities. We do not sell personal data. For details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
